Locked questions and sessions

What a lock means, what you see, and how to open the content.

A lock means that your plan does not open the year of this content. It is not an error, and MedLibro erases nothing. The 1st year is never locked.

Open a locked question

You can get a link to a question or a clinical case from a year outside your plan. You must be logged in. If you are not, MedLibro asks you to log in, then opens the question.

The page appears blurred, with grey bars in place of the text. Over it, you see an invitation, This question is waiting for you or This clinical case is waiting for you. The invitation shows:

  • the year of the question
  • the plans that open it
  • its module, its course and its exams
  • the totals of everything that Premium contains

You cannot answer the question, write a note on it or save it to a playlist. You can still share its link from the menu at the top, with Share.

Play a session with a locked part

A session can contain a year outside your plan, for example after a plan ends. In your list, it shows a lock beside its title. Explore and Start still work.

  • The part that your plan opens plays as usual.
  • At the locked part, the session stops on an invitation, This session is waiting for you. It names the missing years, the plans that open them, and the number of questions and clinical cases.
  • Previous and Next take you past the locked part, to the questions on each side.
  • If your plan opens no part of the session, you see only this invitation.

Your score counts each question of the session, the locked ones too. So your score cannot reach 20 while a part is locked.

Build a session on a locked year

In the session form, a locked year and its modules show a lock. You can still choose them, and their question counts stay visible.

If you choose a locked year, a line under it says This year is waiting for you: its questions will open as previews. For the residency, the line says The residency is waiting for you: its questions will open as previews.

Start and Explore create the session as usual. The session stays in your list with its lock, and it plays in full when your plan opens its years.

Open the locked content

Each invitation gives you three choices:

  • See the plans opens the Pricing page. If only Premium opens the content, Residency is already selected.
  • See all of Premium’s contents lists what Premium contains.
  • Back takes you out of the locked page.

When your plan opens the year, the same link or session opens normally. Premium and the year plan says what each plan opens.
